as staff illustrator at the gazelle, nyu abu dhabi's student-run publication, i made visual narratives to sit beside journalism on social and campus issues. the work balances digital illustration technique with conceptual storytelling for a very diverse readership. a selection:

"an open letter to nyuad administrators: student journalism needs institutional support"
digital illustration with halftone effect and purple gradient
vintage-inspired newsboy shouting "extra! extra!" while holding the gazelle. the retro comic style intentionally contrasts with the modern call for institutional support, emphasizing journalism's enduring importance on campus.

digital illustration with textured halftone pattern and tricolor motif
a figure in hijab against blue, white and red. the radiating white shapes create tension between french symbolism and muslim identity; the deliberate facelessness speaks to the dehumanization addressed in the article about islamophobia in french politics.

"wellness department announces that only those experiencing imposter syndrome actually belong at nyuad"
animated gif with gaming parody elements
a cycling gif: the among us character on an nyu id turns into the word "imposter," then an emergency-meeting alert, over the nyuad campus map. the animation mirrors the article's satire about student insecurity in a visual language everyone on campus knew.
